Solana Likely To Meet Larijani Next Week

-- European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana said Thursday he would probably meet Iran's Supreme National Security Council Secretary Ali Larijani next week.

Solana is to give a detailed explanation about the nuclear package of proposals the Group 5+1 offered to Tehran in early June.

The group comprises the five permanent members of the UN Security Council -- Britain, China, France, Russia, and the United States -- plus Germany.

"I can tell you that I expect to meet in the coming days --next week probably -- with Mr. Larijani," Reuters quoted Solana as saying.

Solana added he had talked to Larijani at length over the telephone Wednesday.
